MUSC 1503 - Fundamentals of Bagpipes


Fundamentals of Bagpipes, is an introductory level course designed for the college or high school student interested in learning to play the bagpipes. It is an elective or fine arts course worth three credit hours toward graduation requirements. nor framing and/or experience in music is not required for this course. However, experience playing the bagpipes is a plus. Studies include working on the practice chanter, music reading, and work on the bagpipes. Upon completion of this course, students will demonstrate a minimal ability to play the bagpipes. This ability will be demonstrated through performance tests throughout the course as well as a final performance exam.
