CHIN 2141 - Advanced Chinese II

3.0 Credit Hours

This is the second semester of a two-semester sequence in advanced modern standard Chinese (“Mandarin”). This course is designed for students who have taken three and a half years of Chinese language (or equivalence), and have a basic foundation on Chinese phonetics, characters, and grammars. In order to help students develop their communicative competence in the four basic skills, the 5C’s (Communication, Cultures, Comparisons, Connections, and Communities) will be integrated consistently into the content and exercises in the course.

Prerequisite(s): CHIN 2140 (Minimum Grade: D) or instructor permission
