CHIN 2130 - Intermediate Chinese I

3.0 Credit Hours

This is the first semester of a two-semester sequence in intermediate modern standard Chinese (“Mandarin”). This course is designed for students who have completed two years of Chinese language education (or equivalence), and have a basic foundation on Chinese phonetics, characters, and grammars. In order to help students develop their communicative competence in the four basic skills, the 5C’s (Communication, Cultures, Comparisons, Connections, and Communities) will be integrated consistently into the content and exercises in the course.

Prerequisite(s): CHIN 2120 (Minimum Grade: D) or instructor permission
