The following are changes as of the date indicated (changes approved through Curriculum and Standards, Faculty Senate and approved by NMMI Board of Regents)

Changes are the result of adds or adjustments from the initial (July publication) catalog and changes will identify the effective date and responsible individual(s).

Initial changes:

Course numbering change on LIB 101 to LIBR 1101 Bibliographic Instruction course not yet offered (2012)
CHIN 1114/1110L - Beginning Chinese I and CHIN 1124/1120L - Beginning Chinese II (Mandarin) taught Fall 2012/Spring 2013
BUSA 2103 - Business Ethics taught Fall 2012-Spring 2013
ENG 045 - Creative Writing (humanities/communications high school course) taught Fall 2012-Spring 2013
Grade scale change to remove C-, D+ and D- grades from the grade scale as of Fall 2013.
High school students with an interest in biology/natural sciences must complete all four high school biology classes (BIO 021, 022, 023 and 024) prior to taking any college course and these courses will work as a pre-requisite for NMMI college sophomore level courses (in lieu of BIOL 1154, 1214 or 1224) effective Fall 2013.
Second year Chinese and Russian courses for Fall 2013. CHIN 2113/2111L and CHIN 2123/2121L; RUSN 2113/2111L and RUSN 2123/2121L approved.
PLSC 1103 - Introduction to Political Science for Fall 2013 as a pre-course to PLSC 1113.
New high school lab science courses - IPS 021/022 - course will combine elements of chemistry and physics for Fall 2013.
Effective Fall 2013:
- Grades of C-, D+ and D- are no longer used (A+, A, A-,…C+, C, D, F only)
- Academic Probation which was 1.74 and below will be raised to 1.99 and below (below 1.50 is still suspension, however, below 2.0 and on AcPro will be subject to suspension.
