HIST 1213 - Introduction to German Culture and Civilization

This is the first of two courses designed to give the student an introductory overview of German Culture and its development. It will cover the span of roughly one thousand years; from the Great Migrations and the fall of the Roman Empire to the formation of the so-called ‘Second Reich’ under Otto von Bismarck. Taught in English.
