MATH 1215 - Intermediate Algebra

3.0 Credit Hours
A study of linear and quadratic functions, and an introduction to polynomial, absolute value, rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions. A development of strategies for solving single-variable equations and contextual problems.

Prerequisite(s): ACT Math >= 19 or SAT Math >= 450 or NMMI Math Placement Exam (Intermediate Algebra) >= 40 or Accuplacer Arithmetic >= 264 or Accuplacer Quantitative Reasoning >= 234 or pass MATH 0913 (Minimum grade: D).

Note: This course may be used to meet residency and eligibility requirements, but may not be used to fulfill the math graduation requirement. This course may be used as elective credit to fulfill the 60 hour graduation requirement.
