MATH 0913 - Elementary Algebra

Topics covered include basic computational skills involving fractions, decimals, and percents as well as showing the transition to applying those skills when an unknown or variable is present. Other topics include operations in algebra, first-degree equations and inequalities, exponents, polynomials, and factoring. Factoring will be covered with great emphasis. This course may be used to meet residency and eligibility requirements, but may not be used to fulfill the 68 hour graduation requirement. Math placement scores will be used to determine enrollment in this course.
