MATH 1604 - Pre-Calculus


Studies functions necessary for students planning to take calculus.  Topics include polynomial functions, exponential functions, logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, inverse functions, with emphasis on concepts on graphical and algebraic properties of these functions. Also included are systems of equations and an introduction to sequences and series.  Student will learn use of graphing calculators.

MATH 1113 or higher, or MTH 034 or higher from high school.  Testing: ACT Math >= 18; SATR Math >= 450.  MATH 1213 Trigonometry recommended.
