ARBC 1124 - Elementary Arabic


Introduces the Arabic alphabet and pronunciation. Stresses basic skills; listening, speaking, reading and Writing. Develops an awareness of multiple Arabic-speaking cultures.

Classroom and lab for the non-native speaker. Students with up to two years of high school language should enroll in the 1xxx/100 series. Students with previous experience in Arabic should consult the department for proper placement. Students should enroll sequentially in language courses. Each student enrolled in the 100/1xxx (beginning) series will have a language laboratory each week. A lab fee is required.
