MUS 140 - Fundamentals of Music Theory


Studies include music notation, rhythms, scales, intervals, and chord structure. Critical listening skills and very basic piano knowledge will be developed and required. Designed for music students wanting to learn to write music and understand the intricacies of music.

Previous training in music is required. NOTE: A maximum of eight (8) semester credit hours of ensemble courses (band, choir, etc.) may be applied toward A.A. or A.S. Degree requirements.
