PHYS 1110L - General Physics I Laboratory


General Physics I laboratory.  Fundamental principles of classical kinematics and dynamics are presented with applications of Newton’s laws of motion, gravitation, friction, circular motion, work and energy principles, linear momentum, rotational kinematics and dynamics, torque and angular momentum, theory of fluids (statics and dynamics), oscillations, wave motion, and sound. Material is presented from the vector algebra point of view. Topics covered are essential for college freshmen students planning for a career in physics, engineering or the physical sciences.
